EXPANDING OUR IMPACT: cHAMPIONS pLACE@HOME!
When Champions Place opened its doors in 2020, it quickly became clear that the need - and desire - for accessible, independent living spaces far exceeded the number of rooms we could offer. Built with assistive technology, Champions Place set a new standard for how thoughtfully designed environments can empower young adults with physical challenges.
But we knew our mission couldn’t stop at our front door.
In response to the overwhelming interest from individuals who wanted to live at Champions Place, we asked a simple but powerful question: What if we could bring a piece of Champions Place to them?
That’s how Champions Place@Home was born - a way to extend the heart and technology of Champions Place into the homes of those who can’t yet live here (hopefully one day!). By leveraging smart tools like Google Home and other assistive technologies, we’re helping more young adults experience greater independence, convenience, and dignity - from the comfort of their own home.
In the words of those we’ve reached so far, this program has been nothing short of life-changing. Read on to hear one of our latest recipients, Natalie Gomez’s thoughts.

“Champions Place@Home has increased my independence and simplified my everyday tasks, so now I can do more things on my own without having to ask for help, and it gives me the freedom to stay home alone. I am so happy and grateful. I love you guys and will always be grateful for all the things you guys have done for me.”
MEET MORE OF OUR HAPPY CHAMPIONS PLACE@HOME RECEPIENTS!
Because of your support, we have been able to share the gift of Champions Place@Home with over 40 families in the Metro Atlanta area – and we’re just getting started. In fact, we’re planning to automate 25 more homes in the next 12 months. With your continued partnership, we know we can reach more families, change more lives, and empower even more young adults with physical challenges to live with greater independence and confidence.
