Thank you Ed Pease & Team for a day of outdoor beautification

In a year when it appeared that the world had stopped, something wonderful happened. Around the globe, individuals gave back – not only through civil causes and financial gifts – but also through volunteer hours. As many companies downsized or temporarily shuttered office space, people found themselves with time and skills on their hands. And they chose to do good! We at Champions Community Foundation have been grateful recipients of those choices.

  • Thanks to our partnership with organizations such as National Charity League and Young Men’s Service League, our freezer has stayed fully stocked with dinners for the Champions Place residents and we were able to bring back our Titans scrimmages over the summer.

  • The amazing students from Brenau University have donated their time and phenomenal skills to support our residents with occupational therapy sessions in one on one and small group settings.

  • Our dedicated coaches welcomed back AND GREW our Titans as we reopened scrimmages.

  • Champions Place stays up and running with all our Google based assistive technology thanks to the brilliant IT volunteers to troubleshoot and respond after summer storms.

  • And let’s not forget the move in volunteers, van drivers, and flower bed friends who supported and continue to support us regularly.

The Board, staff and families of Champions Community Foundation and Champions Place cannot thank you enough for the over 3500 hours of volunteer service that you have provided us in the last year. This community would not be a fraction of what it is without the people who believe in the mission:

TO SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE THE LIVES OF YOUNG ADULTS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES, ENABLING THEM TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS SELF-RELIANT, PRODUCTIVE, AND FULFILLED CITIZENS IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY.

We would welcome you to join our cause and serve alongside all these wonderful faces through our variety of volunteer opportunities like scrimmage volunteers and van drivers (training provided!). Learn more and claim your space on our Volunteer page. Thank you for your continued support.
